Made in 2018 with music recorded in 1974. This music was provided on LP's and was played to the general public in shopping malls, supermarkets, clothing stores and just about any other retail related environment. I decided to remix these slightly to match the recent mall fascination people have developed thanks to various people such as Dan Bell, whom visits closing down American shopping malls and films the result. Most videos contain mall muzak in the background with an applied EQ and reverb. Due to the amount of attention this recieved on the YouTube channel I used to own, I decided to honour the people who gave me constant support and feedback. If you get it, you get it, if you don't, then bad luck eh?

Absolutely Perfect Ambiance for my Zampanio Homage
I was trying to capture the infinite mall level of one account of Zampanio I had tracked down and to my surprise the perfect music already existed for it. Thank you so much!

Don't know why so many fake reviews were needed
This is very interesting release. It is kind of weird that there are so many reviewers that have made only 1 review commenting here. Shame to try and game a simple rating system.

Best flashback inducer ever
Does anyone else look at that album cover and remember how insanely hot those parking lots were? 90+ degree summer heat with no clouds, no shade and no 50+ spf sunscreen invented yet to offer you any relief whatsoever; heavy, solid steel cars absorbing and radiating heat all day; black asphalt pavement absorbing and radiating heat all day. It was the long march into hell to writhe in agonized boredom while mom meandered from store to store and shopped all day for bargains. This uncanny vintage muzak brings all the memories back.

Track #13 is a cover of 'At Seventeen" by Janis Ian
Track #13 is a cover of the the song "At Seventeen" by Janis Ian. In the song she laments that at the edge of adulthood that her lack of conventional beauty and class status means that she would not "marry young and retire"and instead would suffer from loneliness--we would "cheat ourselves at Solitaire..inventing lovers on the phone". Her original song was a Top 10 hit in 1975 and helped propel her album "Between The Lines" to #1 on the September 1975 Billboard Albums chart. Its been covered and used in TV since then, including on "The Simpsons." Love this whole collection of enhanced mall muzak. But it would have to be a little later than 1974 to account for the Janis Ian :-)

Nice! But what are the songs?
I found this to be very nice and relaxing. I really enjoy the 70's feeling of the music. But what are the original songs?

Thanks For This Great Atmosphere!
This has such a unique and nostalgic feel to it, it's really quite wonderful in a beautifully bonkers fashion (if that makes sense)
Kind regards,
Joe

Copyright Cleared?
I was wondering if I could use one of these songs in a historical video that I made for a student film competition. If yes, I would just need written confirmation from you and how you would like me to credit it. Thanks :)

Gotta love the cover tracks
I recognize "Restroom Retreat" is a cover of "Volare", though the others sound familiar [but I can't quite name them]. Neat gem - thanks for sharing!
